For the purpose of these terms the
following definitions have been adopted:
Printshare: A
Scheme organised and run by SBS (UK) Ltd with the aim of providing
discount rate printing on stock items as defined on this website.
SBS: Small Business
Solutions (UK) Ltd, and the Directors, Managers & Staff thereof.
Participants:
Individuals, groups, organisations or Companies placing an order through the Printshare Scheme.
Run: A production
run of the work of 1 complete set of participants.
Estimated
Pre-Production Period: The period between placing the order and the
the date one week before the Estimated Production Date.
-
A minimum number of
participants are required in order for a Printshare run to be deemed
viable, and until a
full 'quota' is reached printshare cannot run, unless ALL participants are prepared
to pay an adjusted rate to compensate, and unilateral agreement to this
by email is secured.
-
SBS
will decide whether or not a Printshare run is viable, and their
decision will be final.
-
Because each
participant's actions can affect each other's, payment is
required at the time of ordering and cancellation or refund is not permitted
unless a 13 week period has elapsed since placing the initial
order/making payment.
-
It is not possible to
specify a delivery date for work produced under the Printshare scheme.
At the time of ordering an Estimated Production Date EPD will be
given, by which time all artwork must be completed and signed off, and
the Estimated Delivery Date EDD will be 5 working days later.
However this will be subject to change and review depending upon the
course of events, and will vary in reliability depending on how
close to 'quota' completion the scheme is at the time of ordering.
Once a full quota is achieved the Actual Production Date APD and
Actual Delivery Date ADD will be announced
-
Since the timeframe is
critical to the success of the scheme for all involved, artwork or copy deadlines
must be strictly observed. Deadlines cannot be artificially
delayed for the benefit of any individual taking part.
Therefore should any individual fail to observe such deadlines,
their work may be printed 'to stage' ie. at the stage it's at, which
in the case of unreturned proofs may result in work printed with
errors, and in the case of artwork or copy not supplied may mean no
image being printed at all for which SBS will accept no
responsibility nor make any compensation. In such cases the
full payment is still due and no refund will be given.
-
Communication
will be by email, and where no response is received phone calls will
be made at least twice. If the result of this failure to
successfully communicate is that the terms of no. 5 are broken, SBS
can accept no responsibility nor make any compensation in this
regard. It is the responsibility of the participant to remain in
contact throughout the Estimated Pre-production Period EPP.
-
If a participant is unhappy with
the quality of work supplied, or if any misprinting occurs which is our
responsibility, SBS will either offer to repeat the order
'free of charge' or at a reduced rate on the next run, or offer a partial or full
refund at their discretion. SBS regret that they may not be able to
replace the items like-for-like immediately due to the nature of the scheme
restrictions and timescales.
